Here is a list of ingredients and utensils you will need.

Step-by-Step Instructions

First we will combine 2 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon sugar in a medium bowl.

Next, take 1 cup(2 cubes) of cold butter and cut into pieces.

Add butter pieces into bowl with dry ingredients and cut in with your pastery cutter. Now cutting in the butter is just cutting the butter up in small pieces with the pastery cutter and combining with the flour. You want it to look similar to cornmeal. youo want little pieces of butter in the flour.

Once your butter is all cut in you will add 1/2 cup ice water little bit at a time and fork it in with a fork until the dough sticks together and forms a ball.

Next step is to flour your surface and your rolling pin. Put your ball of dough on the floured surface and roll out about 1/8th of an inch.

Now you will want to put your rolled out pie dough on your pie pan. The easiest way to do this is to roll it around your rolling pin and then you can just roll the dough out on top of your pan.

Lift the extra dough on the outer side of the pan and push down on the inside of the pan all the way around the pie pan so your dough is touching the pan and not sitting above the pan. After that you will want to cut off the extra dough on the edges and set aside.

Next step is to mix up the pie filling. You will mix 16 oz. berries of your choice i used blackberries, raspberries and blueberries, 1/4-1/3 cup sugar (depending on how sweet the berries are) and 1 Tablespoon flour. Mix the berries up gently and pour in your pie pan.

Now you will take the remainder of the pie dough and rolling it out the same as before and roll it around your rolling pin and then unroll on the top of your berries. Cut off the excess on the outer edge. Now you will want to pinch the dough around the edges.

don’t mind my one fancy nail lol they were in the process of coming off. It is a lot easier to do with out long nails. lol

you will want to make a few scores in the top of the pie. I put a B for berry pie.

Beat up one egg(you wont use the whole egg) and spread the egg on the top of the pie.

Once done put your pie in the oven for 350 degrees for 20 minutes. While your pie is baking you will want to get some foil and make a long skinny piece to put around your pie like pictured below.

take 2-3 pieces of foil and fold the ends together so the stay together.

Once your pie starts to brown take your foil strip and put it around the edge of your pie.

cook your pie an additional 20-30 minutes until your berries are bubbling and the juices are thickening up. Let your pie cool and then enjoy with some vanilla ice cream!
